Can ios 10 be downloaded for an ipad2?

Can you download ios10 on an ipad2?

Or, is ios 9.3.5 the best we can get?

I can't access the Applestore app (and other apps in the app store) on my ipad because it needs ios 10.

IOS 9.3.5 is as high as you can go. Why can't you access the App Store on your iPad? You can't use apps that need iOS 10, but not all apps require iOS 10.

It can't be updated past 9.3.5.

To reply specifically to your App Store issue, here is an article that shows you how to troubleshoot when you can't access the App Store.  (As Demo confirmed, you should still be able to access it using iOS 9.3.5, so that isn't the problem.)

I'm sorry. I misread your post. The Apple Store app does indeed require iOS 10.
