I have an old email address linked to iTunes an...

My iPad is registered under a now old and no longer used email address. I have a new email address. When I try to update my apps or anything that requires my Apple ID and password, the username come back to my old email address. I have rest my password a number of times with my new email address but it won't accept it when I try to put in my new password as it still shows my old email address. How can I update this to my current one?

Content and Apple IDs -

Content is forever tied to the Apple ID that bought it. Apple does not transfer content from one Apple ID to another. Apple does not merge Apple IDs. You will never be able to access your content bought with one Apple ID with a new Apple ID.

You will have to delete all old content bought with the old Apple ID and buy it all again with the new Apple ID.

The other option you have is to change the "new" Apple ID via Manage your Apple ID to some other email address that is not being used. You should then be able to log onto your "old" Apple ID via Manage your Apple ID, and EDIT the Apple ID to the new email address. That way, everything associated with that ID remains intact.

Or you can try contacting Apple Support to see if the "new" Apple ID can be removed so you can then use that email address to change your "old" Apple ID to the new one:

I have this same problem. I suspect this is a mac issue. I have tried everything without success.
