How do I downgrade from iTunes 12.7

I have several hundreds apps I have now lost. I travel overseas and load specific apps for the countries I visit regularly, on my return I remove them and load others.
Being able to load specific apps for specific visits is important to me.
In addition because I have a wide range of apps, I do not have sufficient space on my phone to load them.

Uninstalling on a Mac is a difficult issue as there are many

macOS dependent items that go along with iTunes.  There may

also be an issue with library conversions not compatible with

an older version, unless you had a backup previously.  Plus would have

to have a copy of the previous versions full installer.

The only other alternative would be to restore your Mac from

a Time Machine backup to a point prior to the change to 12.7.

I used appzapper to get rid of it. I then copied across the last .itl file and removed the new one then renamed the previous one. You need to do this otherwise the older version of itunes complains the latest .itl was created by a later version of itunes.

Once you have done that you can install the previous iTunes version and all is well.

Is there any chance you could put this helpful suggestion in layman terms, an A-Z, so they can be followed. Thank you.

1. use appzapper to delete itunes 12.7

2. from the previous libraries folder, copy over the last dated .itl file to where your current one is

3. move the current one for safe keeping somewhere else ( just in case things don`t work)

4. rename the one you copied to the location to be itunes library.itl ( or whatever the new one was )

5. Install 12.6 itunes

6. Open itunes and your`re done.
