It says I have 3.1GB of documents in iCloud how...

In iCloud it says I have 3.1GB of storage used, however I deleted documents in iCloud drive and it still says I have 3.1 GB of storage used. What is going on? thanks.

Try signing out of iCloud and sign back in.

Other people have posted similar problems and after contacting iCloud support, found it was a server problem. iCloud support reset everything. You may have to politely ask for a level 2 person.

Contact iCloud Support. You may have to try twice.
