Hello,


I am the sys admin in our office and while I was testing our new domain and S/MIME certificates I sent *empty* emails to all our devices. On our iPads - and only on iPads not on Macbooks or iPhones - we noticed the following message:


As the message appeared to indicate a Mail download error I researched the net and I found all sorts of remedies, such as resetting devices, removing the email account from the iPad and a few others.

In the end this message turned out to be misleading because messages that did contain body text did not show this message.


Has someone else seen this message ? Have I spent hours for nothing because of sloppy Apple programming ?
