2008 Macbook running Mac OS X Lion 10.7.5 (11G63b)
Hello,
Due to current financial reasons, I would like know if I can purchase a more recent operating system and download it on an external drive. My thought process is to use the new OS as a start up disk, and delete my current Os, Mac OS X Lion 10.7.5 (11G63b). What is the newest OS my Macbook can handle, if I delete the current one.
Does anyone have any ideas if this is possible, or if there is a better way. I need to stall for a while before I can buy a new mac, but my Current Os wont open alot of websites I visit, especially my banking sites. Here is the details of my Macbook.
Is there a better way to get another year out of my Macbook?
13-inch, Early 2008
Processor 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
Memory 2 GB 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM
Graphics Intel GMA X3100 144 MB
Software Mac OS X Lion 10.7.5 (11G63b)
Thanks in advance for any assistance.
