Insensitive to bandwidth

The removal of the ability to restore apps to multiple iOS devices from iTunes is highly insensitive to those of us with bandwidth limitations and multiple devices in our family.

I agree. I have to manage multiple iOS devices using my Mac, so downloading apps using the Mac is more efficient than separate upgrades over WiFi (or LTE).

Plus, there are times when I read app reviews in Safari or an RSS reader (on my Mac) which then point me to an interesting app which I can then browse in past versions of iTunes; now I cannot do that.

The Mac is my main point of contact, not the iPhone (so I may be an outlier in that regard these days). It seems obvious that this latest move in lobotomizing iTunes by removing app support is an attempt to force more activity away from the Mac and toward the iOS devices. That's not going to happen for me. I'm not upgrading iTunes.

Rather than simply remove iOS app support from iTunes, Apple would be wiser (are you listening, Apple?) to provide a Mac/Windows app for just managing iOS apps on the Mac or PC or your choice. Or have you'd decided that development of Mac apps isn't worth the effort anymore?
