i want to increase the memory from 4GB to 8GB and i went to apple store for this purpose. they informed that they cannot do it. if i get it done from some third party then it will cancel my apple care. i have bought MacBook Pro (13inch, mid 2012) last year and it still have 2 years of apple care. please suggest.

Unfortunately this selection must be made at the time of purchase as it would require a different device. Obviously 3rd party tinkering voids your warranty.  Your best bet is to figure out what you can erase and now you know for your next phone.  I have 64.

i was talking about MacBook Po. Do you mean that after we have bough MacBook, we cannot upgrade its configurations?
