iOS 11: Access restriction to Files app

Is there a way to restrict access to the Files app in iOS 11? While many of the apps storing data in iCloud provide the possibility to protect access (e.g. touch ID) , the Files app in iOS exposes all data to anybody who has access to an unlocked iPhone or iPad, allowing files to be viewed, downloaded or deleted. I have not found an option for an additional level of security and consider this a real security thread should this indeed not exist. Any help?

Apple has not provided a way to lock the Notes app. Most people do not leave their devices laying around while they are unlocked. That said, some apps, like Notes, do have the option to require password / Touch ID authentication. If you would like similar functionality in the Files app, leave feedback for Apple at https://apple.com/feedback/iphone.html.
