iOS 11 Safari

In Safari on my iPad Pro, I’ll often press and hold a link to then choose “Open in Split View”. Now in iOS 11 that takes a little longer than in iOS 10: the link will “highlight” with a box first, and then the contextual menu. It’s not a huge deal, but it’s an annoying delay (0.75 seconds versus 2 seconds?). Is this just expected behavior now? Is there a way to shorten that delay? (I guess this may be related to force touch, but with an iPad Pro and an iPhone SE I’ve never dealt with force touch at all.)
