Apple Watch not detecting HR during indoor walk...

Original Apple Watch upgraded to latest update.   Walked on the treadmill set activity to indoor walk and checked it after I got off the treadmill.  According to the watch my last HR was taken at the moment I got on it and the next after that when I got off.  No HR taken for 45 minutes.  I have done this before and never had a problem is this an issue with the new upgrade?
