Notifications not showing on Apple Watch

Ever since updating my apple watch and iPhone my notifications seem to be coming through on my phone and not on my watch. 

I have checked the watch settings and can see everything is mirrored to show up on my watch. The watch is always connected to my phone and only started showing this issue after updating.

I'll get the occasional notification on my watch but when I check my phone I can see a number of other notifications which I have essentially missed because they came through on the phone and not the watch.

Messages

Mail

Whatsapp

If you have not yet done so, it may help to update your iPhone to the latest version of iOS (the latest version is currently iOS 11.0.1):

Hi Jonathan,

Thanks for the advice. Unfortunately that version doesn’t seem to be registering on my iPhone just yet. I don’t think it’s been rolled out for me yet.

Will keep a lookout to see when it comes and if it fixes my issue.
