Apple denied my consumer rights?

I've been denied refund of an app within 14 days of purchase. I was told I had too many refunds to be allowed another refund and was sent a message on my phone that I would not be allowed to refund within the 14 days for the purchase. I can't recall seeing a message on my phone which stated that. I received no email from Apple telling me I wouldn't be allowed anymore refunds from them for purchased apps. It wasn't made clear to me. I've been informed that I've only had 5 refunds within a year. For digital content we need to be given a trial period as we can't use anything we purchase otherwise. There is no way that I can know for sure that what I've purchased works without testing the product directly. Photos and videos are no good. It seems unfair and against consumer rights to deny me a refund.

I was told by one of the customer service supervisors that the 5 refunds was 80% of my yearly app purchases - insinuating that if I had purchased more apps, I wouldn't have this issue.

I am wondering if Apple are working on a 80% mark - where if 80% of your purchases are refunds then you won't be allowed anymore refunds. This is totally against consumer rights in the UK.

I've already complained to Apple as much as possible. Does anyone know of the best way I can get justice on this situation? I've also made a complaint to Citizens Advice.

If you had downloaded the app the 14 day refund period doesn't apply.

You will have to contact iTunes Support / Apple, there isn't anything that anybody on here can do, and discussion about their policies and speculation isn't allowed on here.

How can you get a 'refund period' for something you haven't purchased/downloaded?
