Watch 3 price w/o cellular in some countries

So as far as I know, the Apple watch 3 with cellular costs $430, and the watch 3 without cellular is $360 (€306ish). But in countries where the cellular version isn’t available (like mine in the Netherlands it costs €400 ($470ish).

So the exact same watch has a difference of $110 in value. Something like that.

I don’t mind paying a little bit extra, but I’m curious why this is a thing?

Apple's prices in the US exclude sales tax (state and local taxes), which is payable in addition to the listed price.

Other factors include foreign exchange rates and distribution-related costs (which can be substantial and involve more than just shipping costs).
