6th Gen iPod Bluetooth Issue

Had no issues with using bluetooth to connect to two different speakers. Woke up one morning and the music was all choppy as if the BT connection was having issues. Didn't think anything of it, just turned it off. Next day connected to my Bose Color SoundLink with no issue...about a few minutes into streaming tunes the music started cutting out again as if the BT connection was spotty/bad even though it was 6" from the speaker. It happened for about 10-15 seconds then back to normal....few minutes later...same thing. Just a repeating process now.

Is it defective? Of course its a little over the year warranty but thankfully I have an extended warranty on it.

I'm wondering if there is some sort of other interference. I'm not sure the frequencies blue tooth uses but given that it's intermitant I'd wonder if another device nearby or some other broadcast signal is messing it up.

I found an article suggesting interferenace sources

Potential sources of Wi-Fi and Bluetooth interference - Apple Support

Interesting. Contacted Apple Chat, brought iPod downstairs from my bedroom and no issues! Something in my bedroom is causing a disturbance in the force. (lol)...may be the BT adapter I have plugged into the other speaker that seemed to have gone on the fritz a day or two ago that's messing with the iPod's connection.

I think you are right..as mentioned after I brought it downstairs, no issue. In my bedroom its on my night stand with a bunch of things in the drawers too..will have to look around, especially that BT adapter in the other speaker. It originally was cutting out on that first speaker.
