beach balls, hang, and apps crashing

Let me start by saying that this computerhas been acting weird for awhile. I had its firmware and operating system completly wiped and reinstalled at the Apple store on 9/19. I haven't been messing around in the terminal but this computer was in the High Sierra beta back in May, which I downgraded out of after it completly wiped my system. At the time, my phone was in the iOS 11 beta as well which I eventually downgraded out of in July. Even though I left both betas correctly, there has been some beta code attached to my Apple ID which has been making things screwy on both devices.  I was THRILLED when High Sierra launched because the release of iOS 11 had helped fix some of the weirdness for the phone and hoped this would do the same  and it did...for about half a day.  Now, apps are crashing, I'm getting beach balls for the first time and a lot of hang. I'm also having trouble holding a wifi connection. All the stats will look great when you run wireless diagnostis but pages won't load and when I was playing a game online my ping would reach over 1,000 and eventually I would get dumed out.  All of this stuff, is new.  If someone could tell me what's going on and how to fix it, I would greatly appreciate it. I do connect to an Xfinity public wifi hotspot, which I have an account for but I've been doing that for years with these kinds of issues.  I posted about some of this seperatly but figured all in one place to give you the best idea.

I launch my game through terminal to connect to a specific IP under the direction of it's developers.  It through this out after I installed the new OS.
