constant pop up error message
on my iMac with up-to-date Sierra I'm getting an error message window constanly popping up:
There was a problem connecting to server "[fe80:4:0:0:203:93ff:fe73:c1f6]"
Anyone know what this is?
What are you doing when you get the message? Using Safari?
Please give more details as to what you are doing when you get the message. Try doing whatever it is you're doing as a different user and see if the problem persists to isolate the cause.
Well fe80 is part of a link local ipv6 designated address so something on your compuer is sending data to the system using that server and is having a problem with the configuration of the server and probably not getting its communications out to wherever I'd guess. Have you checked your console output to see if anything pops up at the same time as the error messages or do you notice anything elsewhere happen when those message appear?
