i bought an ipad from someone on offerup and it...

If there's anything I can do, is it possible to get a new i cloud chip or is there a way I can bypass having to input their info. I bought it on OfferUp and now the person is not responding to any calls/ texts. Any suggestions would be very much appreciated! iPad mini gen 1 . 

You purchased a stolen item. There is no way to bypass the security lock. You will never hear back from the seller (crook).

 

Sorry, but you have a brick with no means of recovering what you paid for it.

And like Kurt said, I'm sorry but you've been scammed. I know nothing about offerup, if they have any sort of purchase support or if you're on your own, but at the very least that person is selling you a useless device. At best they honestly forgot to wipe it, but most likely they sold you a stolen device.
