Upgrade vs. buying a new Mac

should i upgrade my early 2011 15" mac pro or buy a new one?

I have a Mac Pro 15" early 2011. It had been really slow lately. And the battery is really bad. 

Is it worth it to upgrade the Mac. Or to just buy a new one?
