iOS 11 picture in picture not working.

Just installed new iOS 11.  I used to be able to view a video, tv show, etc. along with another app by clicking on the little down arrow.  It would appear at bottom of screen in a sort of picture in picture.  that arrow is no longer there and I can’t figure out how to do this.  And Apple still has no ios 11 user guide Available.  How are we to learn the new system? Can I go back to 10 if that feature is no longer possible?  It was the best part of iOS for me.
