Mail app on Mac tiny fonts every new line

Hi everyone,  here is a screenshot to demonstrate my issue, that font size cannot be preprogrammed into mail app, and that even with command and +. the text only increases where you have written, but  when you make a new line, the text goes tiny again. This happens worst when replying to emails.....

When is Apple going to make this app better? it seems to be the same oldskool thing as back in 2012.

Notes also does the same when making a new line after increasing text size, and also does not allow to change the default font size (the .plist file foir notes with the '12' pixel default wont let me edit or paste a new file over it in the system files).

Mail app seems to have an 8 pixel default font in the days of 4k screens, which makes an 8 pixel font like like a 2 pixil one

Spell checking is almost impossible with text that size, and makes my eyes long sighted

PLEASE make the .plist editable so we can change default font size, or add a tool in the notes and mail apps settings to allow us to select a default font size! it cant be too complicated and Apple are working oin so many mega new features of new things, but leaving their own basic built in Apps in the stone age!

I cannot believe how Tim Cook brags about the new updates of OSX (OS Sierra now),when their onboard software is so 'not updated' amd still has this oldskool unchangeable default font size. The Mail app is so basic and unchanged that it makes the operating system seem old too

There is nothing to brag about Tim, you have neglected mail, aperture, notes, and many other features of your own software products, and even Safari is bragged about, but in truth, hardly plays a video on any news website with self hosted videos, and refuses to work properly in many websites i use, and is almost a deprecated browser, but we see bragging about it on the keynotes every time. Website headers bounce and get shortened after java timeouts, the pages freeze in FB or Youtube or Google, sometimes google search links go dead in Safari.. anyway this post was about Mail App and how you cant choose a font size and make every new line stay the same font size as what i was writing in.. absolutely unusable.

Now a Complaint about the absence of a community for mail app;

there is not community for apple Mail app, and by the way, as second choice for which community to post in, i also coudlnt find OSX el Capitan, or Sierra, so the communities here which are needed for topics like 'mail' 'notes' and even 'os sierra' and 'os el capitan' dont exist, and Apple always is strict to make us post to the right community

So please make a community for every topic so we can comply with your wishes, or make at least one 'every other topic' community so we dont sit there wondering which community we can post to!

The problem with these discussion forums is that Apple try to exert a mega specific control on how people post. But in my experience as a guy who ran forums on his own server since 15 years, you cant control a forum like that. You also cannot create a different community for every specific app or topic that might be needed, and expect us to browse through lists of dozens and dozens of communities to try to not post 'off topic'

Its a ridiculous system when starting a new post, and it is designed for apple's perusal, not the user's ease of use

Considering Apple employees dont come here to read (allegedly), then why such strict posting rules? hmmmm.. tend to think the 'useful responses' from some users, are actually Apple employees trolling around  incognito.

Because from being a forum owner myself, i know, that there is no such thing as a forum with no moderators. So of course these forums are read by moderators.. thats why yo may sometimes see your post deleted, or someone elses.

OK, so I didn't read the entire post, but to answer your question about the font issue, have you set up your Message font choice in Preferences? Mail>Preferences>Fonts & Colors>Message Font.

Notes also provides the ability to make the Font size larger under Notes>Preferences>Default Text Size.

Better to ask for help than to complain about something that may or may not be an issue. In this case, it does not appear that you are setting up your Preferences correctly.
