I have a 2016 MacBook Pro 15" with Touch Bar, running macOS Sierra 10.2.3 Beta 3.
I've noticed that the option to select 88kHz (and also 96kHz on the recent macOS Beta 3 release) has been removed from the Audio MIDI Setup preference panel; I'm also unable to select any other sample rate on any application that gives you the option to do so (Studio One, Bitwig, etc).
My previous MacBook Pro (15" Mid-2012 Retina) allows me to pick between 44, 48, 88 and 96kHz and I see no reason to strip away higher sample rates as these are essential to audio engineers on the go.
Are there any plans to unlock these options in the future?
Thank you.
i have not seen a fix for this besides buying hardware to bypass the headphone jack
