Should I use CleanMyMac for macOS Sierra?

I have been using CleanMyMac for a very long time (since its first generation).

But I have always had this question: should I really use it? Does it really "clean" my Mac instead of slowing it down in the background?

If it's not a good idea to use this application, can someone show me how to delete it?

And if I don't use this application, what should I do if I feel my Mac is getting slower and slower? And what if my Mac's fan is getting louder?
