replace battery of 2011 MacBook Air?

The battery of my 2011 MacBook Air is on its last legs and I was wondering if it's worthwhile to replace the battery or if the 2011 model will soon become obsolete so better to upgrade now - any advice?

All about budget, isn't it?   With new MacOS High Sierra on the horizon and doubtless more to come, if budget allows it, I think it is time to buy a new machine.   We don't even know at the moment if the 2011 machines will take the new MacOS.
