The using of the wiper??

Can you tell me the using of the wiper come with the Macbook? My opinion was to put it betwee screen and keyboard to advoid their contact when we shut the Macbook down! Am I right?

The wiper is expected to be used to wipe off the glass of the screen to remove oil and dirt from fingerprints.

The clearance between the keyboard and screen is very small. I recommend not putting anything between the keyboard and screen. Why would you want to? You said to avoid contact, well if there is no clearance to avoid contact what makes you think there is room for a wipe?
