Backup/Transfer App Files Between iOS Device an...

I was concerned that I would not be able to backup/transfer app files (such as the files from my Password Saver app that I regularly backup using iTunes) since "Apps" no longer is a choice in settings, but this functionality still exists.

Use the "File Sharing" in the iTunes window panel on the left. This still shows the apps that have documents that can be transferred between your iOS device and your computer.

PS I do not see the removal of synching apps and ringtones through iTunes as an improvement

I also agree that the removal of apps from iTunes is a terrible change, and I've sent feedback to Apple through a number of routes.
