Recover Notes data form Time Machine

Hi, have looked for this on discussions and can only find 1 answer from 2012 so,

I have recently lost the contents of my notes app, my fault entirely, I have time machine backups from my iMac (Mac OSX Sierra) on a separate disc and was wondering if anyone out there knows where the data is kept and how I can recover it please?
