Safari and Mac App Store support

Hello,

 

When I try to navigate to any website on safari a message pops up saying that "the certificate for this website is invalid" I tried to click on settings but settings won't let me edit safari. I also tried to go to the AppStore to try to see if it's an issue that relates to an update but when I open the AppStore on my Mac it says it can not connect to the AppStore even though I am connected to the wifi as I am navigating safari. Please advise

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities. It's my understanding you receive a certificate error when browsing in Safari. You've also been unable to connect with the App Store, even though you've got a Wi-Fi connection. I'm happy to help with these issues.
