Apple Watch update pauses constantly.

IIt's been on and off for two hours now. Update keeps pausing. Phones close and connected to wifi. Any ideas ?

Try these steps:

 

  • Remove your watch from the charging stand and instead connect it directly to the supplied Apple Watch Magnetic Charging Cable (with power connected), ensuring that the two surfaces are clean, in direct contact and properly aligned.

 

  • On your iPhone, close the Watch app (double-click the Home button, then swipe up on the app preview).

 

 

Are you referring to the downloading stage or another stage?

Downloading stage. It's now been 3 Hrs. Of my having to restart it image.jpg

AAfter getting the pause away, opens up to 15days remaining, but switched to 4 after 1 minute. ..... now it's been 3 1/2 hrs

SO odd the stand is simply using the actual charger my watch came with. I'm down to one minute remaining. If the phone and watch shuts down because of being inactive does that affect the downloading ? Because I have been babysitting then to keep the screens lit up.

It is not necessary to keep the screens awake.

OK, thank you and it's been on 1 minute for 12 minutes. There must be something wrong w my watch.

My watch is attached to the Apple charging stand, I did all the steps but it still pauses. I'm at 100% charge, but the watch app on the iPhone keeps pausing the download and won't restart it. I have a pretty fast network so this should download pretty fast.
