How to put a picture on lock screen in IMac Sierra

I would like to place a picture to show on the lock screen of my iMac. I used to have one on my windows 10 PC which was simple to set up.  I cannot see a way to do so on my new iMac. Can anyone help please?

Thanks but this does not answer my question. I read all this on my mac but it does not let me put my own picture on my lock screen - the initial start up screen, not a screen saver. Thanks any way for your support.
