how can i change my existing apple id

i have a iphone..iphone 4, i have a problem in changing my existing apple id(john****@yahoo.com) from the one that apple provided me, the updated and new apple id(john****@gmail.com).. how can i do it, where do i find the icon "edit"..on the site of managing your apple id.thank you.

Log in at https://appleid.apple.com:

Before you change it, sign out of iCloud on all your devices, then change it, then log back in on the devices with the new ID. If you don't do it this way round you can find yourself in difficulties.
