Ipad passcode

My iPad is disabled, and is asking for a passcode.  I have never had a passcode.  What do I do?

You will have to restore the device to remove a passcode that you do not remember. See the instructions in this support document. If you forgot the passcode for your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, or your device is disabled - Apple Support
