Apple Watch Screen falling Off

Hey guys,

I have a 1st generation apple watch and recently the screen keeps flipping off.   The screen is still connected to the wiring and the touch screen still works.  Anyone else having this same issue?

Apple advises that you should not continue using a damaged Apple Watch, which is also not user-serviceable.

 

If the issue is not covered under warranty, then your Apple Watch may be eligible for replacement via chargeable, out-of-warranty service - or via AppleCare+, if previously purchased.

 

Contact Apple Support (mail-in service may be available, if required), make a Genius Bar reservation or visit an Apple Authorised Service Provider to arrange for your Apple Watch to be inspected and to establish your available service options:

I've noted several others where this has happened. My AppleCare recently ran out, but the is no damage or abuse to the watch. The screen just came off. Servicing the watch, according to the local Apple store, would cost $250. Obviously this is too expensive vs buying a new watch, but if they fall apart if would seem that Apple has a problem with the adhesive used initially to secure the front and back elements to the case. Since this thing was quite expensive, it would cause me to think twice before buying another one.
