how to recover deleted photos from the icloud

I have lost pictures I saved in my iCloud and have not been able to find them I am not sure if they were deleted or when that happened?

How can Recover them?

Try checking the "Recently Deleted" folder both in album and iCloud.com but primarily the later one. If you deleted those photos by mistake, they will be sent to that folder and preserved for a month, as described in the how to recover deleted photos from iCloud backup article. For further reference, it would be better to create another archive(besides iCloud) for those important photos.
