How do I restore/map location of Home folders?
I had 2 drives internally mounted in my old Mac, using one as the boot drive and the other as the data drive. When I did this, I remapped the location of standard folders, such as Documents, Music, Home Movies, etc. to the data drive. I now have a new MBP with a single drive and on trying to access one of those folders, I get an error message like this one "“Documents” can’t be opened because the original item can’t be found."
The new machine obviously needs me to remap the location of the folder back to the default (i.e. on the boot drive). Can anyone out there tell me how to do this? Once I've done that, I'll then go to Time Machine and manually move the old data folders into the corresponding, remapped folders. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
