I bought some royalty free music on iTunes and YouTube has now nabbed me for copyright issues saying it is another artist song. How do I prove it is Royalty free from iTunes? The song is from one of the albums that is called " Royalty Free Music" (Rock).
Thanks in advance.

Brad,
I know this is a bit overdue, BUT I'm putting some music together in which I use some of the iTunes "Royalty Free Music". I did TONS of research and found the producer of the Royalty Free Beats. I sent him a message on Facebook and LinkedIn and am waiting to hear back, I asked if there's a way to provide a license or something like that so we could provide Apple proof of rights to use his Royalty Free album. It's irritating that Apple allows an album for Sales that says "Royalty Free" BUT then they don't let you use that album in your projects, false advertisement. I don't even care to make money, but I would like my music placed on iTunes (I created the majority of beats on my CD, but I did like a few I heard on the Royalty Free album which I purchased). Did you ever find any new information on your end? Thank you, any help would be greatly appreciated.

JDW,
There is no such thing as "iTunes Royalty Free Music." All music sold in the iTunes Store is expressly limited to "personal, non-commercial use."
There are a number of albums in the store whose title implies that the music is available on a royalty free basis. That may well be true, but you will need to seek out a properly licensed copy.

I cannot speak for Apple, but I am quite sure they will not be the least bit interested.
Since you are in touch with the producer, ask about how a copy can be obtained.
I apologize, I meant Royalty Free music sold through iTunes, not iTunes Royalty Free music But yeah I'm working on contacting the producer to see how I can obtain proof to use his beats he has labeled as Royalty Free and describes as available for connercial use. Thanks for the reply.
Ive just had the same issue with Royalty free beats. Will be interested to see how you get on.
I just got a copyright notice from Youtube for some "royality-free" music I bought on itunes also. If this isn't really royality-free music. I am going to complain to itunes that this is false advertising. I just filled out a counter claim on Youtube. I'll let you know what happens. The person who claimed they owned the copyright is not mentioned on the album I purchased and the names of the songs are different. Yet they claim they own the copyright and want part of the commissions I earn from Youtube.
