Will iTunes 10.5 work with OS 10.8.5?

My partner has bought an iPhone 7 Plus running iOS 11.0.2 and wants to sync with iTunes on her Macbook which is running OS 10.8.5  Apparently she needs iTunes 10.5 minimum to sync the iPhone 7 - can we get iTunes 10.5 to run on OS 10.8.5?  Thanks
