iTunes 12.7 Issue: Podcast library gone and more

Hello all,

I'm running Sierra 10.12.6, and I recently updated to the newest version of iTunes (12.7).  My issue is that the Podcast section in iTunes is completely non-functional.  Every item in the "Podcast" drop-down menu is grayed out; my Podcast library is gone; and I'm unable to subscribe to any podcasts through the Podcast store.

I'm at a loss as to what's causing this so any information you can provide or suggestion you can make will be warmly accepted and appreciated.
