mini display port to thunderbolt?

Hello,

I'm trying to use my 2013 imac as an external monitor for a 2010 mac book pro. I have a mini display port to mini display port cable and a thunderbolt cable. Neither of them works. Is there an adapter i can use?

No. It isn’t possible to use Target Display mode in that configuration.
