Following the " How to reinstall macOS" online ...

Following the " How to reinstall macOS" online instructions, I erased my startup disk as I will be giving away my Mac. When starting up from macOS Recovery and following the onscreen instructions, there is no disk where I can install macOS Sierra. What have I done wrong and how can i fix it?

Try erasing the drive again, ensuring the format is set to Mac OS Extended (Journaled) and Scheme is set to GUID Partition Map. See the following articles for guidance.
