Imac 2017 duel display

Hi All, need some help I have a 27inch iMac 2017, I am trying to add my second monitor to it, it is a DVI-D single connection, I brought a USB-C to DVI adaptor and no luck, does the iMac support the DVI signal,

not sure if I have to bin my old monitor, any help would be good.
