Mac Pro Mid

Hello to everyone,

Similar questions have been asked before but a few years ago So I want to ask again to get an updated answer.

I want to get a Mac for design, photography and video editing work.

I have several different options according to my budget. These 3 Macs are about the same price range.

(I am in Turkey and these computers are 4-5K Turkish Liras. That is around $ 1,200- $ 1,400)

1- Mac Pro (Mid-2010) 6-core 3.33 GHz / 24 GB 1066 MHz DDR3 ECC / HD 5770 1 GB

2- Mac Pro (Mid-2010) 2 x 4-core 2.4 GHz / 32 GB 1333 MHz DDR3 ECC / HD 5770 1 GB

3- iMac 27" (Late-2013) i5 3.2 GHz / 16 GB 1600 MHz DDR3 / GTX 755M 1 GB

ps. I plan to upgrade Mac Pros with SSD and GeForce GTX980 4 GB graphic cards.

The Mac Pro benchmark scores are better, but I'm hesitant because they are older than the iMac.

Do you think the Mac Pro still deserves money?

Which model would you prefer if you were?

I would buy a Mac Pro. Why? It's perfect! I switched a MacBook Pro 2009 (Mid) + a little quantity of money for a Mac Pro 1.1 and it was the best thing in terms of computers that I did.

1- The refrigeration is perfect;

2- Organization is perfect (inside the Mac Pro and install a HD it's simple and takes only 2 minutes of your time);

3- It has a lot of USBs and firewire connections and I work with music, I need a lot of connections and firewire connections;

4- Even it being very old, it runs solid, without any problem, I can open a lot of browser tabs, work with Pro Tools 10.3.10 with a lot of channels and plug-ins;

5- It's prettier (in my opinion);

6- I have the impression that 2 CPUs is better than just one;

7- It supports more RAM;

8- It supports DVDRw drive

Man, the Mac Pros are very solid, well built and will never make you sad, iMac is very good too, it's newer, but even the older systems are very good, very well made and you won't think you make a bad thing to choose Mac Pro.

Well, it's my opinion, I am not right or wrong, iMac has pros: newer, support, new versions of macOS will be supported, it's the machine and inside it's the computer, great resolution, but I prefer Mac Pro.

Detail: I would never put an unofficial graphics card, if I was you I would buy a certified graphics card solution for your Mac, it will runs without any problem.
