Late 2013 iMac 27
After upgrading to Sierra 10.12.6, things have gotten really slow. Lots of beachballing. Takes minutes to restart/boot the iMac, to startup apps, even Safari takes some minutes for the browser window to open.
Finder actions like displaying the contents of a folder or hovering over the Dock icon can take several seconds or longer until it executes. Takes a long time to search and find files.
Playing a video stored on the internal HD is choppy, and Facebook videos also choppy. Videos stored on external HD play fine though. Finder crashes a few times a day. Activity Monitor does not really indicate an overworked CPU. I wonder if my internal HD is starting to fail. I'm going to backup to Time Machine today.
I already used Recovery's Disk Utility to repair a few minor issues. Also reset the NVRAM and SMC. But problem remains.
