My slide over function disappeared

I’ve updated to iOS 11 and the slide over function on my iPad Air disappeared

The slide over function disappeared because of the new iOS 11 update. But don't worry, there's a new way to do it! Swipe up at the very bottom of your screen, a Dock of apps will pop up, hold the app that you want to use then drag it on top of the screen. It does the same thing as the slide over function. I sort of got what you meant and then I checked the tips app, as it showed up randomly. It had a visual of what Chester offered. This new way works quite well.
