Upgrade SATA HDD to SSD, compatible with APFS ?

Hi

I've upgraded my MacBook Pro 13" Late-2011's SATA HDD to SSD. I've been using MacOS High Sierra since public beta 1, and converted my partition type to APFS ever since

And the latest announcement on High Sierra states "Fusion Drives and hard disk drives (HDDs) aren't converted. "

So since the original drive is using SATA HDD, even though I upgraded to SATA SSD, will it still be supported to use APFS? Or do I need to revert back to HFS+ ?

I can't get any information, does the restriction applies to all SSD, or only M.2 SSD like the one being used in Retina MacBook Pro's

I don't understand.

• If that Mac's original drive is gone, it's no longer a factor in its installation.
• If it remains installed, it won't automatically be converted to AFPS.
• If you created your own "Fusion Drive" from that Mac's originally installed hard disk and an aftermarket SSD, according to that Apple document you will need to reformat it. It won't be converted to AFPS, and I don't believe it can be converted to AFPS.

Yes, the original drive is gone, since I replaced the original drive with 3rd party SSD drive

Supposedly, SSD drives will be supported and converted. Not regular hard drives or fusion drives.
