After a water spill, Macbook pro was working we...

So, on July 12th, I accidentally spilled water on my Macbook pro. It was immediately shutdown and I left it to dry close to a window. The next day, I turned it on and it worked for 10 seconds  (I saw the login screen). I went to the repair shop and they said it's basically dead-- the motherboard was fried and it won't work unless I replaced it. So, saddened, I returned home and placed it in my backpack.

After maybe three weeks, on July 31st, I tested it one last time and it was magically working. It was working perfectly with no issues... until morning of August 8th, it was back at black screen. No start up sound, no login, nothing.

After this, I would leave it alone for a day and test it the next and it'll work; I can log in and do stuff, but it will always abruptly shuts down, sometimes after 4 minutes or sometimes after 30 minutes.

I figure it's a power shortage issue, so does anyone have any idea exactly what's wrong? Is there any hope for it to start working properly again? If not, can I sell it for a good price or is it just useless?

You spilled water on it, didn't take it to Apple for repair, and now you are paying for a new computer or an expensive repair.

You can sell it for parts, not a good price. Can't get a good price for a non-functioning water-damaged computer.

Hi,

It's dead for good this time, that seems pretty sure. In good conscience, I couldn't sell it without full disclosure of the spill and its results; someone may be able to salvage the display, case, and power adapter from it.
