iPod virus

My iPod touch just said it has 4 viruses, But I've been reading that iPods can't get any? Is it true or not What can I do if mine has any ?

If that message appeared in a web browser and you weren't in the process of uploading a file, avoid visiting the website which produced it.

If that message appeared in a web browser and you did upload a file, delete it or scan it on a computer.

If that message appeared in a different application, uninstall it.

No I wasn't uploading any files at the time.

I was on a music app when it popped up.

I will delete it now and hopefully it works
