Script to kill an app on display sleep and then...
Hey guys.
I am using an audio enhancement app called "boom 2". It really is very good and makes a big difference to the sound on my imac.
However, there is one very annoying problem. This app STOPS my imac from sleeping, at all. I have investigated this using "pmset -g assertions" in terminal, and after googling for the problem specifically linked with boom 2, it seems it is a persistent problem that has been flagged from as early as 2012 as yet with no sign of a fix from the developers.
I don't like the fact my mac doesn't sleep because of this running and therefore was wondering if there is a script I could use (through automator or something, I know nothing of coding macs) that I could have always running in the background that would kill boom2 when my display turns off and then restarts boom2 when my display comes back on.
To clarify, my DISPLAY will power down and up via the energy saver with no problems, the problem is that it simply will never go into a SLEEP state.
Many thanks for any help you can give!
