Can’t update apps.

I cannot update my apps or change my billing information, and I believe it’s due to the automatic subscription I forgot to cancel. I currently don’t have the money to pay for the sub. Can anyone help me get around this? There is no button available to select “none.”

If you are not able to choose None as your payment method (even for downloading free apps and updating existing ones), then the following support article explains why that is the case:
