If you left it outside in the cold last year, and you have not been able to turn it on for a year, then you need to make an appointment at the Genius Bar of the nearest Apple store to have them examine the device. They more than likely will offer you an out of warranty replacement, with a minimal cost. The battery is probably toast by this time.
